Color Explorer Tools
Curated Resources for your Classroom and Studio
There is no better way to learn about color than by hands-on explorations. You can find many examples of color exercises and experiments in books and online but sometimes finding affordable, good quality products to conduct the explorations can be difficult.
Here are few of my favorite tools, books, and supplies for designers, artists and teachers interested in exploring the art and science of 21st Century Color. I use all of the products in my Color Explorer STEAM Room in Portland, Oregon.
I do not have a shop. The products that make the short list are all tested by me and by my students over many years. You can purchase many of these items at your local stores but if you can’t find something, I’ve included either the manufacturer’s links or the Amazon links.
NOTE: The links are not affiliated and I do not earn income from my recommendations. I recommend only what I find helpful for exploring color!
