I’m back to exploring the split rings in a variety of forms. The rings on this Rose Chain started with one extra wrap and ended up with four layers of very thin clay ruffled around the large center holes.
The challenge of making them lay flatter resulted in using a form to give each link a double curve up and down.
Check out another very simple variation on Polymer Clay Daily and stay tuned for more variations to come.
Upcoming Workshop
I will be heading up to the San Juan Islands in mid June to teach a color mixing and watercolor technique workshop. Landscape Collage in Polymer Clay will be held in Friday Harbor at the wonderful Wild at Heart Studios on June 11th and 12th. Collage artist Judith Devine will be teaching a workshop the same weekend and each class will spend some time sharing information and techniques.

Beautiful and so organic. It reminds me of crepe paper and looks just as fragile.
