What; Colour Literacy Beta-test Workshop*
Who: Artists, Designers and Anyone who is Color Curious
We are surrounded by color! Starting in the morning with a series of hands-on,Colour Lit exercises, we will dive into the interaction of color with light, with our visual system, and with the spaces around us.
After lunch, we will stretch our brains by exploring the many factors that affect our perception of color.
Be ready to have your mind blown!
Bring: Laptop or iPad, and curiosity.
Skill Level: Beginner to Advanced
Location: VIA Artistica Studio on 2nd floor at Taborspace, 5441 SE Belmont Avenue, Portland, Oregon
Optional: Bring a brown bag lunch. (We have a mini-fridge.)
Cancellation Policy: All payments will be refunded if I cancel the workshop at any time. Full payment will be refunded if a student cancels at least one week before the class starts. Half payment will be refunded if student cancels 24 hours before class starts. (Minus PayPal fees.)
*The primary goal of the ISCC/AIC Colour Literacy Project (CLP) is to design and test a state-of-the-art, multi-disciplinary, foundational color curricula for use by teachers at all levels. The project team is currently testing materials and activities that foster critical thinking and creativity, are freely accessible and use low-cost resources, and which may be used as-is or further modified by teachers to best suit the needs of their classroom.
