Lindly Haunani has joined the blogging world with a new site called “Lindly – Talking Color.” She will be sharing her top 100 tips in addition to musing about the creative process and showing some of her latest pieces.
Lindly and I have taught color workshops together a number of times, starting way back at the first Ravensdale Conference in 1996.
This summer we signed a contract with Watson-Guptil publishers to write a book on color for polymer artists. The manuscript is due the end of June and the book is scheduled for publication in Spring ’09. Wish us luck as we work on our drafts and do test runs on colorful projects to include in the book.
We are looking for images of polymer clay work that focus on color in some way. If you are interested in sending images to be considered for the book, Lindly has the submittal guidelines on her site. They are due November 1st.
Lindly’s new work is scrumptious. She just sent me these recent photos to share with you. Thanks, Lindly!

woo hooo. Can’t wait for the book. I love playing with colors and this will most definitely work with mixing my colors.

Great news about the book! I look forward to it. I’m a big fan of color, myself. It’s pretty much an intuitive thing for me, but I’m very interested to hear/read the theory behind it and see where it leads me.
