I was so intent on seeing and doing everything that I did not get many good photos. Bummer!<\/p>\n<p>I can&#8217;t possibly do justice to the whole weekend\u00a0so I will just share my personal highlights.\u00a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>Wendy Wallin Malinow&#8217;s LAB at RAM<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/maggiemaggio.com\/color\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/RacineWendy.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/maggiemaggio.com\/color\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/RacineWendy.jpg\" alt=\"RacineWendy\" width=\"640\" height=\"853\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Top of the list &#8211; seeing my friend, and fellow Portlandian, <a href=\"http:\/\/wendywallinmalinow.com\/\">Wendy Wallin Malinow&#8217;<\/a>s work featured in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ramart.org\/content\/inorganic-labs\">(in)Organic Lab <\/a>at the Racine Art Museum. It was a room chock full of Wendy. A long overdue one-person show for a quiet artist with a vivid imagination and a rich artistic voice. Congrats, Wendy! So glad your whole family came to see the show!<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n<h2>Racine Art Museum&#8217;s Commitment to Polymer<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/maggiemaggio.com\/color\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/RacineBrucePepich.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/maggiemaggio.com\/color\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/RacineBrucePepich.jpg\" alt=\"RacineBrucePepich\" width=\"640\" \/><\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/maggiemaggio.com\/color\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/IMG_42421.jpg\"><br \/>\n<\/a>Executive Director Bruce Pepich and his team at the Racine Art Museum welcomed us the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ramart.org\/content\/polymer-20-field-21st-century\">Polymer 2.0 Symposium<\/a> with a sneak preview of the museum shows on Thursday night, then spent the whole weekend in dialogue with us and closed the symposium with a challenge to take polymer out of the box. We heard the call and will start working together on projects to move polymer forward.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n<h2>A Spot in the (in)Organic Show<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/maggiemaggio.com\/color\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/IMG_42421.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/maggiemaggio.com\/color\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/IMG_42421.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_4242\" width=\"644\" height=\"410\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Definitely a thrill\u00a0to see some of my latest work all lined up in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ramart.org\/content\/inorganic\">RAM&#8217;s (in)Organic <\/a>show. Wonderful to be in the company of many artists from many different media who all share a passion for exploring the edges between man and nature. Johnson Gallery at Carthage College. All the interior and exterior photos I&#8217;ve ever seen were in black and white. They make the campus feel cold. The reality was so much warmer. Layer upon layer of Cherokee Red.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<\/p>\n<h2>Dinners in the FLW&#8217;s Johnson House<\/h2>\n<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/maggiemaggio.com\/color\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/RacineWingspread.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-6206\" src=\"https:\/\/maggiemaggio.com\/color\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/RacineWingspread.jpg\" alt=\"RacineWingspread\" width=\"640\" height=\"853\" srcset=\"https:\/\/maggiemaggio.com\/color\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/RacineWingspread.jpg 640w, https:\/\/maggiemaggio.com\/color\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/RacineWingspread-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/h2>\n<p>Last but not least &#8211; sitting down with old and new friends in the living room of Wingspread, the huge house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright for the Johnson family. Dream come true.<\/p>\n<p>The symposium left us with many thought-provoking questions.
