These are all optical illusions.<\/p>\n<p>This\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.businessballs.com\/shadow-optical-illusion.htm\">checker shadow illusion<\/a>, created by Edward H. It was an eye opener. It was also very complex. I understood about half of it and caught slippery glimpses of insight into the other half. (Puns intended.)<\/p>\n<p>But thankfully you don&#8217;t have to understand how illusions work to appreciate them. Michael Bach has the most comprehensive <a href=\"http:\/\/www.michaelbach.de\/ot\/\">site on optical illusions<\/a>.
