{"id":7353,"date":"2016-10-16T14:34:20","date_gmt":"2016-10-16T21:34:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/maggiemaggio.com\/color\/?page_id=7353"},"modified":"2019-03-05T18:02:17","modified_gmt":"2019-03-06T02:02:17","slug":"swatches-scales-and-triangles","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/maggiemaggio.com\/color\/swatches-scales-and-triangles\/","title":{"rendered":"Swatches, Scales and Triangles"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Swatches, Scales and Triangles:<br \/>\nColor Mixing Practice and Documentation<br \/>\nPolymer Workshop<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Project:<\/strong>\u00a0 Swatches, Scales, Triangles.<br \/>\n<strong><strong>Level:<\/strong> <\/strong>Basic polymer clay experience required<\/p>\n<p>This one-day workshop is your chance to practice color mixing while creating useful tools to help you make the colors you love.<\/p>\n<p>There are many\u00a0different ways\u00a0to keep track of color recipes. \u00a0We will practice three variations:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Documenting Single Colors:<\/strong> Color Swatches can be done one at a time as you figure out the ratios for each color in the mix.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Documenting Mixes with Two Colors<\/strong>: Color Scales work beautifully to show how colors flow from one color to the next.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Documenting Mixes with Three Colors:<\/strong> Color Triangles are a great way to see a representative selection of all the colors possible when you start with just three colors on the corners of the triangle.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/maggiemaggio.com\/color\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/IMG_8609-1-e1476653619142.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-7355 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/maggiemaggio.com\/color\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/IMG_8609-1-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"img_8609-1\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Come have fun just mixing colors while learning a variety of ways to keep track of your favorite mixes!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kit Fee :<\/strong> $10 kit fee includes handouts and group supplies.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Materials to Bring:\u00a0<\/strong>Pasta machine, work surface, pin tool and blade. \u00a0If possible, the polymer will be donated. If not, polymer will be ordered for the class and $20 will be added to the kit fee.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Class Length:<\/strong>\u00a0One Day. \u00a0Seven hours of instruction.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Instructor Fee:<\/strong>\u00a0$100\/student plus travel and lodging.
