Color Retreat Reviews
- "Even if you think you know color theory this is a great way to see color in a new way."
- "The atmosphere was relaxed, with just enough class structure to cover the necessary material, and plenty of time to apply what we were learning to our own work."
- "Maggie's color retreat was an inspiration. It was wonderful to meet and work with artists using a variety of media. I learned so much from everyone around me. I would recommend the retreat to any artist; no matter how well they think they know color, they will come away with fresh ideas."
- "This was a fabulous experience. I had always assumed that if I tried to mix my own colors, I'd end up with mud. Now, not only am I looking forward to mixing...but I really like the possibilities of "mud"!

Hi Patti – I made the form out of polymer clay. Just a round ball squashed flat with a little handle added before baking. Gotta love the fact we can make just about anything we need!
thanks for the info on watercolor tech. i, like laura, was wondering where you found the form you built the split rings around.i’m enjoying your teaching in color understanding. have read many articles on techniques this takes me to a new level of knowledge.cudos and thanks again, patti
HI Sandra – The link to the video is at the bottom of the video tab under tutorials. Here it is again – http://vimeo.com/14628679. Have fun!
I can’t find the directions for the split ring necklace. I have the layout. Will you please either forward it or let me know where to find it. I thank you for your website–it’s awesome!!
HI,
LOVE your book!
I saw this project a bit ago – bookmarked it – and now it is GONE!!!!!!Where is the video? I have the template…but the video – or a written basic description would be nice. I am an experienced clayer so I don’t need all the teensy details.
I would like to know what brand(s) of clay you used for your chain links. I have had minimal luck with flexibility – I would love to know any mixing or curing tips for creating strong yet flexible items.
Thanks in advance!
Lori
Hi Maggie
I was looking for the template for the split ring beads. I can’t seem to locate it.
Also, where did you get the little round forms that you use to wrap the snake around?
Thank you for your help Maggie
