Exploring Color in the 21st Century

Color Books for the Holidays

scan0001.jpg“I adored organizing mycolors as a child too! But I was taught to organize them as cool or warm colors.” Melanie’s comment made me think of the gorgeous cover of this book – Colors: The Story of Dyes and Pigments. Its a very beautiful little book with lots of color, and a good companian to Victoria Finlay’s “Color: A Natural History of the Palette”  which is a fascinating travelogue but mostly all text. If you haven’t already started a gift list . . .

  1. Yum! Thanks, Maggie! More books for my wish list! *checks bookshelf to see if she can fit any more books into it*

All this talk about crayons reminds me of all the pretty markers, colored pencils and pastels I have down in my studio – not to mention clay. Double yum!! ;D

*runs down to studio to play with color*
